त्वं तिग्मधारासिवरारिसैन्यमीशप्रयुक्तो मम छिन्धि छिन्धि । चक्षूंषि चर्मञ्छतचन्द्र छादय द्विषामघोनां हर पापचक्षुषाम् ।। ६-८-२६ ।।

sanskrit

O king of sharp-edged swords, you are engaged by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Please cut the soldiers of my enemies to pieces. Please cut them to pieces! O shield marked with a hundred brilliant moonlike circles, please cover the eyes of the sinful enemies. Pluck out their sinful eyes. ।। 6-8-26 ।।

english translation

हे तलवारों में श्रेष्ठ तीक्ष्ण धार वाली तलवार! तुम श्रीभगवान् द्वारा काम में लायी जाती हो। कृपा करके तुम मेरे शत्रुओं के सैनिकों को खण्ड-खण्ड कर दो; कृपया उन्हें खण्ड- खण्ड कर दो। हे सैकड़ों चन्द्रमण्डल के समान वृत्ताकारों से अंकित तेजमान ढाल! पापी दुश्मनों की आँखें ढक दो और उनकी पापी आँखों को निकाल लो। ।। ६-८-२६ ।।

May the glorification of the transcendental name, form, qualities and paraphernalia of the Supreme Personality of Godhead protect us from the influence of bad planets, meteors, envious human beings, serpents, scorpions, and animals like tigers and wolves. May it protect us from ghosts and the material elements like earth, water, fire and air, ।। 6-8-27 ।।

पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान् के दिव्य नाम, रूप, गुण तथा साजसामग्री का कीर्तन हमें अशुभ नक्षत्रों, केतुओं, विद्वेषी मनुष्यों, सर्पों, बिच्छुओं तथा बाघों-भेडिय़ों जैसे पशुओं के प्रभाव से बचाये। वह प्रेतों से तथा क्षिति, जल, पावक, वायु, ।। ६-८-२७ ।।

sanskrit

And may it also protect us from lightning and our past sins. We are always afraid of these hindrances to our auspicious life. Therefore, may they all be completely destroyed by the chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra. ।। 6-8-28 ।।

english translation

जैसे भौतिक तत्त्वों और तडि़त से तथा पूर्व पापों से हमारी रक्षा करे। हम अपने शुभ जीवन में इन बाधाओं से सदैव भयभीत रहते हैं, अत: हरे कृष्ण महामंत्र के जप से इन सबका पूर्ण विनाश हो। ।। ६-८-२८ ।।

गरुडो भगवान् स्तोत्रस्तोभश्छन्दोमयः प्रभुः । रक्षत्वशेषकृच्छ्रेभ्यो विष्वक्सेनः स्वनामभिः ।। ६-८-२९ ।।

Lord Garuḍa, the carrier of Lord Viṣṇu, is the most worshipable lord, for he is as powerful as the Supreme Lord Himself. He is the personified Vedas and is worshiped by selected verses. May he protect us from all dangerous conditions, and may Lord Viṣvaksena, the Personality of Godhead, also protect us from all dangers by His holy names. ।। 6-8-29 ।।

english translation

भगवान् विष्णु के वाहन श्रीगरुड़ श्रीभगवान् के समान शक्तिशाली होने के कारण सर्वपूज्य हैं। वे साक्षात् वेद हैं और चुने हुए श्लोकों से उनकी पूजा की जाती है। वे सभी भयानक स्थितियों में हमारी रक्षा करें। भगवान् विष्वक्सेन अपने पवित्र नामों के द्वारा हमें सभी संकटों से बचायें। ।। ६-८-२९ ।।
