तेषां कुपथदेष्टॄणां पततां तमसि ह्यधः । ये श्रद्दध्युर्वचस्ते वै मज्जन्त्यश्मप्लवा इव ॥ ६-७-१४ ॥
Leaders who have fallen into ignorance and who mislead people by directing them to the path of destruction [as described in the previous verse] are, in effect, boarding a stone boat, and so too are those who blindly follow them. A stone boat would be unable to float and would sink in the water with its passengers. Similarly, those who mislead people go to hell, and their followers go with them. ॥ 6-7-14 ॥
english translation
जो नेता अज्ञानी हैं और लोगों को विनाश के कुमार्ग पर ले जाते हैं (जैसा कि पिछले श्लोक में कहा गया है) वे वास्तव में पत्थर की नाव पर सवार हैं और उनके पीछे अंधे होकर चलने वाले भी वैसे हैं। पत्थर की नाव पानी में नहीं तैर सकती। वह तो यात्रियों समेत पानी में डूब जायेगी। इसी प्रकार जो लोग मनुष्यों को कुमार्ग पर ले जाते हैं, वे अपने अनुयायियों समेत नरक को जाते हैं। ॥ ६-७-१४ ॥
