तयोः षष्टिसहस्राणि यज्ञघ्नांस्ते पितुः पिता । जघान स्वर्गतो राजन्नेक इन्द्रप्रियङ्करः ॥ ६-६-३६ ॥
They were physically very strong and expert in fighting, and their aim was to disturb the sacrifices performed by the great sages. My dear King, when your grandfather Arjuna went to the heavenly planets, he alone killed all these demons, and thus King Indra became extremely affectionate toward him.॥ 6-6-36 ॥

वे सब अत्यन्त वीर तथा युद्ध कुशल थे और उनका लक्ष्य मुनियों के द्वारा सम्पन्न यज्ञों में विध्न डालना था। हे राजन्! जब तुम्हारे पितामह अर्जुन स्वर्ग लोक गये तो उन्होंने अकेले ही इन असुरों का वध किया था जिससे राजा इन्द्र उनका परम प्रिय बन गया। ॥ ६-६-३६ ॥

विप्रचित्तिः सिंहिकायां शतं चैकमजीजनत् । राहुज्येष्ठं केतुशतं ग्रहत्वं य उपागतः ॥ ६-६-३७ ॥
In his wife Siṁhikā, Vipracitti begot one hundred and one sons, of whom the eldest is Rāhu and the others are the one hundred Ketus. All of them attained positions in the influential planets. ॥ 6-6-37 ॥

विप्रचित्ति को अपनी पत्नी सिंहिका से एक सौ एक पुत्र प्राप्त हुए जिनमें राहु सबसे ज्येष्ठ था और अन्य एक सौ केतु थे। इन सबों को प्रभावशाली ग्रहों (लोकों) में स्थान प्राप्त हुआ। ॥ ६-६-३७ ॥

विवस्वतः श्राद्धदेवं संज्ञासूयत वै मनुम् । मिथुनं च महाभागा यमं देवं यमीं तथा । सैव भूत्वाथ बडवा नासत्यौ सुषुवे भुवि ॥ ६-६-४० ॥
Saṁjñā, the wife of Vivasvān, the sun-god, gave birth to the Manu named Śrāddhadeva, and the same fortunate wife also gave birth to the twins Yamarāja and the river Yamunā. Then Yamī, while wandering on the earth in the form of a mare, gave birth to the Aśvinī-kumāras. ॥ 6-6-40 ॥

सूर्यदेव विवस्वान् की भाग्यवती पत्नी संज्ञा से श्राद्धदेव मनु तथा यमराज और यमुना नदी (यमी) का जोड़ा उत्पन्न हुआ। तब यमी ने घोड़ी का रूप धारण करके इस पृथ्वी पर विचरण करते हुए अश्विनी कुमारों को जन्म दिया। ॥ ६-६-४० ॥
