मनीषिणोऽन्तर्हृदि सन्निवेशितं स्वशक्तिभिर्नवभिश्च त्रिवृद्भिः । वह्निं यथा दारुणि पाञ्चदश्यं मनीषया निष्कर्षन्ति गूढम् ।। ६-४-२७ ।।

Just as great learned brāhmaṇas who are expert in performing ritualistic ceremonies and sacrifices can extract the fire dormant within wooden fuel by chanting the fifteen Sāmidhenī mantras, thus proving the efficacy of the Vedic mantras, so those who are actually advanced in consciousness — in other words, those who are Kṛṣṇa conscious — can find the Supersoul, who by His own spiritual potency is situated within the heart. The heart is covered by the three modes of material nature and the nine material elements [material nature, the total material energy, the ego, the mind and the five objects of sense gratification], and also by the five material elements and the ten senses. ।। 6-4-27 ।।

english translation

जिस तरह कर्मकाण्ड तथा यज्ञ करने में निपुण प्रकांड विद्वान ब्राह्मण पन्द्रह सामिधेनी मंत्रों का उच्चारण करके काष्ठ के भीतर सुप्त अग्नि को बाहर निकाल सकते हैं और इस तरह वैदिक मंत्रों की दक्षता को सिद्ध करते हैं, उसी तरह जो लोग कृष्णभावनामृत में वस्तुत: बढ़े-चढ़े होते हैं—दूसरे शब्दों में, जो कृष्णभावनाभावित होते हैं—वे परमात्मा को ढूँढ सकते हैं, जो अपनी आध्यात्मिक शक्ति के द्वारा हृदय के भीतर स्थित रहते हैं। हृदय प्रकृति के तीनों गुणों से तथा नौ भौतिक तत्त्वों (प्रकृति, कुल भौतिक शक्ति, अहंकार, मन तथा इन्द्रिय तृप्ति के पाँचों विषय) एवं पाँच भौतिक तत्त्वों तथा दस इन्द्रियों द्वारा आच्छादित रहता है। ।। ६-४-२७ ।।
