यदोपरामो मनसो नामरूपरूपस्य दृष्टस्मृतिसम्प्रमोषात् । य ईयते केवलया स्वसंस्थया हंसाय तस्मै शुचिसद्मने नमः ।। ६-४-२६ ।।

sanskrit

When one’s consciousness is completely purified of the contamination of material existence, gross and subtle, without being agitated as in the working and dreaming states, and when the mind is not dissolved as in suṣupti, deep sleep, one comes to the platform of trance. Then one’s material vision and the memories of the mind, which manifests names and forms, are vanquished. Only in such a trance is the Supreme Personality of Godhead revealed. Thus let us offer our respectful obeisances unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is seen in that uncontaminated, transcendental state. ।। 6-4-26 ।।

english translation

जब मनुष्य की चेतना स्थूल तथा सूक्ष्म भौतिक जगत के कल्मष से पूरी तरह शुद्ध हो जाती है और कार्य करने तथा स्वप्न देखने की अवस्थाओं से विचलित नहीं होती तथा जब मन सुषुप्ति अर्थात् गहरी नीद में लीन नहीं होता तो वह समाधि के पद को प्राप्त होता है। तब उसकी भौतिक दृष्टि तथा मन की स्मृतियाँ, जो नामों तथा रूपों को प्रकट करती हैं, विनष्ट हो जाती हैं। केवल ऐसी ही समाधि में भगवान् प्रकट होते हैं। अत: हम उन भगवान् को नमस्कार करते हैं, जो उस अकलुषित दिव्य अवस्था में देखे जाते हैं। ।। ६-४-२६ ।।
