Srimad Bhagavatam
मरुतश्च दितेः पुत्राश्चत्वारिंशन्नवाधिकाः । त आसन्नप्रजाः सर्वे नीता इन्द्रेण सात्मताम् ॥ ६-१८-१९ ॥
The forty-nine Marut demigods were also born from the womb of Diti. None of them had sons. Although they were born of Diti, King Indra gave them a position as demigods. ॥ 6-18-19 ॥
english translation
दिति के गर्भ से उनचास मरुतदेव भी उत्पन्न हुए। इनमें से किसी के सन्तान नहीं हुई। यद्यपि दिति ने उन्हें जन्मा था किन्तु इन्द्र ने उन्हें देव-पद प्रदान किया। ॥ ६-१८-१९ ॥

marutazca diteH putrAzcatvAriMzannavAdhikAH । ta AsannaprajAH sarve nItA indreNa sAtmatAm ॥ 6-18-19 ॥
