न हि कश्चित्क्षणमपि जातु तिष्ठत्यकर्मकृत् । कार्यते ह्यवशः कर्म गुणैः स्वाभाविकैर्बलात् ॥ ६-१-५३ ॥
Not a single living entity can remain unengaged even for a moment. One must act by his natural tendency according to the three modes of material nature because this natural tendency forcibly makes him work in a particular way. ॥ 6-1-53 ॥
english translation
एक भी जीव बिना कार्य किये क्षणभर भी नहीं रह सकता। उसे प्रकृति के तीन गुणों के अनुसार अपनी स्वाभाविक प्रवृत्ति द्वारा कर्म करना ही पड़ता है, क्योंकि यह स्वाभाविक प्रवृत्ति उसे एक विशेष ढंग से कार्य करने के लिए बाध्य करती है। ॥ ६-१-५३ ॥
