मत्तोऽप्यनन्तात्परतः परस्मात्स्वर्गापवर्गाधिपतेर्न किञ्चित् । येषां किमु स्यादितरेण तेषामकिञ्चनानां मयि भक्तिभाजाम् ।। ५-५-२५ ।।

sanskrit

I am fully opulent, almighty and superior to Lord Brahmā and Indra, the King of the heavenly planets. I am also the bestower of all happiness obtained in the heavenly kingdom and by liberation. Nonetheless, the brāhmaṇas do not seek material comforts from Me. They are very pure and do not want to possess anything. They simply engage in My devotional service. What is the need of their asking for material benefits from anyone else? ।। 5-5-25 ।।

english translation

मैं ब्रह्मा तथा स्वर्ग के राजा इन्द्र से भी अधिक ऐश्वर्यवान, सर्वशक्तिमान तथा श्रेष्ठ हूँ। मैं स्वर्गलोक में प्राप्त होने वाले समस्त सुखों को तथा मोक्ष को देने वाला हूँ। तो भी ब्राह्मण मुझसे भौतिक सुख की कामना नहीं करते। वे अत्यन्त पवित्र तथा निस्पृह हैं। वे एकमात्र मेरी भक्ति में लगे रहते हैं। भला उन्हें अन्य किसी से भौतिक लाभों के लिए याचना करने की क्या आवश्यकता है? ।। ५-५-२५ ।।
