एता ह्येवेह नृभिरुपगन्तव्या गतयो यथा कर्मविनिर्मिता यथोपदेशमनुवर्णिताः कामान् कामयमानैः ।। ५-२५-१४ ।।

sanskrit

My dear King, as I heard of it from my spiritual master, I have fully described to you the creation of this material world according to the fruitive activities and desires of the conditioned souls. Those conditioned souls, who are full of material desires, achieve various situations in different planetary systems, and in this way they live within this material creation. ।। 5-25-14 ।।

english translation

हे राजन्, मैंने अपने गुरु से जैसा सुना था, उसी रूप में मैंने बद्धजीवों के सकाम कर्मों एवं कामनाओं के अनुसार इस जगत की सृष्टि का पूर्ण वर्णन आपसे किया है। भौतिक कामनाओं से पूर्ण बद्धजीवों को विभिन्न लोकों में अनेक स्थान प्राप्त होते रहते हैं और इस प्रकार वे इसी भौतिक सृष्टि के भीतर रहते चले आते हैं। ।। ५-२५-१४ ।।
