यावद्दक्षिणायनमहानि वर्धन्ते यावदुदगयनं रात्रयः ।। ५-२१-६ ।।

Until the sun travels to the south the days grow longer, and until it travels to the north the nights grow longer. ।। 5-21-6 ।।

english translation

सूर्य के दक्षिणायन होने तक दिन बढ़ते रहते हैं और उत्तरायण होने तक रातें लम्बी होती जाती हैं। ‌।। ५-२१-६ ।।

hindi translation

yAvaddakSiNAyanamahAni vardhante yAvadudagayanaM rAtrayaH || 5-21-6 ||
