तद्वर्षपुरुषाः श्रुतधरवीर्यधरवसुन्धरेषन्धरसंज्ञा भगवन्तं वेदमयं सोममात्मानं वेदेन यजन्ते ॥ ५-२०-११ ॥
Strictly following the cult of varṇāśrama-dharma, the inhabitants of those islands, who are known as Śrutidharas, Vīryadharas, Vasundharas and Iṣandharas, all worship the expansion of the Supreme Personality of Godhead named Soma, the moon-god. ॥ 5-20-11 ॥

इन द्वीपों के वासी श्रुतिधर, वीर्यधर, वसुन्धर तथा इषन्धर नामों से विख्यात हैं और वे वर्णाश्रम धर्म का कठोरता से पालन करते हुए श्रीभगवान् के सोम नामक अंश की, जो साक्षात् चन्द्रदेव हैं, उपासना करते हैं। ॥ ५-२०-११ ॥
