प्रमथ्य दैत्यं प्रतिवारणं मृधे यो मां रसाया जगदादिसूकरः । कृत्वाग्रदंष्ट्रे निरगादुदन्वतः क्रीडन्निवेभः प्रणतास्मि तं विभुमिति ।। ५-१८-३९ ‌।।

sanskrit

My Lord, as the original boar within this universe, You fought and killed the great demon Hiraṇyakṣa. Then You lifted me [the earth] from the Garbhodaka Ocean on the end of Your tusk, exactly as a sporting elephant plucks a lotus flower from the water. I bow down before You. ।। 5-18-39 ।।

english translation

हे प्रभो, इस ब्रह्माण्ड में आदि शूकर रूप में आपने हिरण्याक्ष दैत्य के साथ युद्ध करके उसका संहार किया। फिर आपने अपने दाढ़ो के अग्र भाग से मुझ पृथ्वी को गर्भोदक सागर से उसी प्रकार ऊपर उठा लिया जैसे क्रीड़ारत गज जल में से कमल-पुष्प तोड़ लेता है। मैं आपके समक्ष नतमस्तक हूँ। ।। ५-१८-३९ ।।

pramathya daityaM prativAraNaM mRdhe yo mAM rasAyA jagadAdisUkaraH | kRtvAgradaMSTre niragAdudanvataH krIDannivebhaH praNatAsmi taM vibhumiti || 5-18-39 ‌||
