क्वचिन्निगीर्णोऽजगराहिना जनो नावैति किञ्चिद्विपिनेऽपविद्धः । दष्टः स्म शेते क्व च दन्दशूकैरन्धोऽन्धकूपे पतितस्तमिस्रे ।। ५-१३-९ ।।

The conditioned soul in the material forest is sometimes swallowed by a python or crushed. At such a time he is left lying in the forest like a dead person, devoid of consciousness and knowledge. Sometimes other poisonous snakes bite him. Being blind to his consciousness, he falls down into a dark well of hellish life with no hope of being rescued. ।। 5-13-9 ।।

english translation

कभी-कभी इस भौतिक जंगल में बद्धजीव को अजगर निगल लेते हैं या मरोड़ डालते हैं। ऐसी अवस्था में वह चेतना तथा ज्ञान शून्य होकर मृत व्यक्ति तुल्य जंगल में पड़ा रहता है। कभी- कभी अन्य विषैले सर्प भी आकर काट लेते हैं। अचेतन होने के कारण वह नारकीय जीवन के अन्धे कूप में गिर जाता है जहाँ से बचकर निकल पाने की कोई आशा नहीं रहती। ।। ५-१३-९ ।।
