अथ पुनः स्वशिबिकायां विषमगतायां प्रकुपित उवाच रहूगणः किमिदमरे त्वं जीवन्मृतो मां कदर्थीकृत्य भर्तृशासनमतिचरसि प्रमत्तस्य च ते करोमि चिकित्सां दण्डपाणिरिव जनताया यथा प्रकृतिं स्वां भजिष्यस इति ।। ५-१०-७ ।।

Thereafter, when the King saw that his palanquin was still being shaken by the carriers, he became very angry and said: You rascal, what are you doing? Are you dead despite the life within your body? Do you not know that I am your master? You are disregarding me and are not carrying out my order. For this disobedience I shall now punish you just as Yamarāja, the superintendent of death, punishes sinful people. I shall give you proper treatment so that you will come to your senses and do the correct thing. ।। 5-10-7 ।।

english translation

तत्पश्चात्, जब राजा ने देखा कि उसकी पालकी अब भी पूर्ववत् हिल रही थी, तो वह अत्यन्त क्रुद्ध हुआ और कहने लगा—अरे दुष्ट ! तू क्या कर रहा है? क्या तू जीवित ही मर गया है? क्या तू नहीं जानता कि मैं तेरा स्वामी हूँ? तू मेरा अनादर कर रहा है और मेरी आज्ञा का उल्लंघन भी। इस अवज्ञा के लिए मैं अब तुझे मृत्यु के अधीक्षक यमराज के ही समान दण्ड दूँगा। मैं तेरा सही उपचार किये देता हूँ, जिससे तू होश में आ जाएगा और ठीक से काम करेगा। ।। ५-१०-७ ।।

atha punaH svazibikAyAM viSamagatAyAM prakupita uvAca rahUgaNaH kimidamare tvaM jIvanmRto mAM kadarthIkRtya bhartRzAsanamaticarasi pramattasya ca te karomi cikitsAM daNDapANiriva janatAyA yathA prakRtiM svAM bhajiSyasa iti || 5-10-7 ||
