O Nārada, this science of God, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, was spoken to me in summary by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and it was spoken as the accumulation of His diverse potencies. Please expand this science yourself. ।। 2-7-51 ।।

हे नारद, पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान् ने ही मुझे यह श्रीमद्भागवत नामक तत्त्व-ज्ञान संक्षिप्त रूप में बतलाया था और यह उनकी विभिन्न शक्तियों का संग्रह है। अब तुम स्वयं इस ज्ञान का विस्तार करो। ।। २-७-५१ ।।

Please describe the science of Godhead with determination and in a manner by which it will be quite possible for the human being to develop transcendental devotional service unto the Personality of Godhead Hari, the Supersoul of every living being and the summum bonum source of all energies. ।। 2-7-52 ।।

तुम इस भगवद्ज्ञान का संकल्पपूर्वक इस विधि से वर्णन करो जिससे कि सभी मनुष्य, प्रत्येक जीव के परमात्मा तथा समस्त शक्तियों के आधारस्वरूप भगवान् हरि के प्रति दिव्य भक्ति उत्पन्न कर सकें। ।। २-७-५२ ।।
The Lord’s activities in association with His different energies should be described, appreciated and heard in accordance with the teachings of the Supreme Lord. If this is done regularly with devotion and respect, one is sure to get out of the illusory energy of the Lord. ।। 2-7-53 ।।

विभिन्न शक्तियों से सम्बंधित भगवान् के कार्यकलापों का वर्णन, उनकी प्रशंसा तथा उनका श्रवण परमेश्वर की शिक्षाओं के अनुसार होना चाहिए। यदि नियमित रूप से श्रद्धा तथा सम्मानपूर्वक ऐसा किया जाता है, तो मनुष्य निश्चित रूप से भगवान् की माया से उबर जाता है। ।। २-७-५३ ।।
