भगवान् ब्रह्म कार्त्स्न्येन त्रिरन्वीक्ष्य मनीषया । तदध्यवस्यत्कूटस्थो रतिरात्मन् यतो भवेत् ॥ २-२-३४ ॥
The great personality Brahmā, with great attention and concentration of the mind, studied the Vedas three times, and after scrutinizingly examining them, he ascertained that attraction for the Supreme Personality of Godhead Śrī Kṛṣṇa is the highest perfection of religion. ॥ 2-2-34 ॥

महापुरुष ब्रह्मा ने अत्यन्त मनोयोग से वेदों का तीन बार अध्ययन किया और उनकी भलीभाँति संवीक्षा कर लेने के बाद, वे इस निष्कर्ष पर पहुँचे कि भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण के प्रति आकर्षण (रति) ही धर्म की सर्वोच्च सिद्धि है। ॥ २-२-३४ ॥
