तस्माद्भ्रुवोरन्तरमुन्नयेत निरुद्धसप्तायतनोऽनपेक्षः । स्थित्वा मुहूर्तार्धमकुण्ठदृष्टिर्निर्भिद्य मूर्धन् विसृजेत्परं गतः ।। २-२-२१ ।।

Thereafter the bhakti-yogī should push the life air up between the eyebrows, and then, blocking the seven outlets of the life air, he should maintain his aim for going back home, back to Godhead. If he is completely free from all desires for material enjoyment, he should then reach the cerebral hole and give up his material connections, having gone to the Supreme. ।। 2-2-21 ।।

तत्पश्चात्, भक्तियोगी को अपनी प्राणवायु दोनों भौहों के मध्य लाना चाहिए और तब प्राणवायु के सातों बहिर्द्वारों को बन्द करके, उसे भगवद्धाम वापस जाने को अपना लक्ष्य बनाना चाहिए। यदि वह भौतिक भोग की सारी इच्छाओं से मुक्त है, तब उसे ब्रह्मरन्ध्र तक पहुँचना चाहिए तथा भगवान् के पास चले जाने पर अपने सारे भौतिक बन्धनों को त्याग देना चाहिए। ।। २-२-२१ ।।

तथापि, हे राजन्, यदि योगी में अत्यधिक भौतिक भोगों की, यथा सर्वोच्चलोक ब्रह्मलोक जाने की, या अष्ट-सिद्धियाँ प्राप्त करने की, अथवा वैहायसों के साथ बाह्य अन्तरिक्ष में यात्रा करने, या लाखों लोकों में से किसी एक में स्थान प्राप्त करने की इच्छा बनी रहती है, तो उसे भौतिकता में ढले मन तथा इन्द्रियों को अपने साथ-साथ ले जाना होता है। ।। २-२-२२ ।।

योगियों का सम्बन्ध आध्यात्मिक शरीर के होता है। फलस्वरूप अपनी भक्ति, तपस्या, योगशक्ति तथा दिव्य ज्ञान के बल पर वे भौतिक जगत के भीतर तथा बाहर अबाघ रुप से विचरण कर सकते हैं। किन्तु सकाम-कर्मी या निपट भौतिकतावादी इस तरह मुक्त भाव से कभी विचरण नहीं कर सकते। ।। २-२-२३ ।।

This Śiśumāra is the pivot for the turning of the complete universe, and it is called the navel of Viṣṇu [Garbhodakaśāyī Viṣṇu]. The yogī alone goes beyond this circle of Śiśumāra and attains the planet [Maharloka] where purified saints like Bhṛgu enjoy a duration of life of 4,300,000,000 solar years. This planet is worshipable even for saints who are transcendentally situated. ।। 2-2-25 ।।

यह शिशुमार चक्र संपूर्ण ब्रह्माण्ड के घूमने की कीली है और यह विष्णु (गर्भोदकशायी विष्णु) की नाभि कहलाती है। केवल योगी ही इस शिशुमार चक्र को पार करता है और ऐसे लोक (महर्लोक) को प्राप्त करता है, जहाँ भृगु जैसे परि-शुद्ध हो चुके महर्षि ४,३००,०००,००० सौर वर्षों की आयु भोगते हैं। यह लोक उन सन्तों द्वारा भी पूजित है, जो अध्यात्मपद को प्राप्त हैं। ।। २-२-२५ ।।
