Srimad Bhagavatam
जैमिनेः सामगस्यासीत्सुमन्तुस्तनयो मुनिः । सुन्वांस्तु तत्सुतस्ताभ्यामेकैकां प्राह संहिताम् ॥ १२-६-७५ ॥
Jaimini Ṛṣi, the authority of the Sāma Veda, had a son named Sumantu, and the son of Sumantu was Sutvān. The sage Jaimini spoke to each of them a different part of the Sāma-veda-saṁhitā. ॥ 12-6-75 ॥

सामवेद के ज्ञाता जैमिनी ऋषि का एक पुत्र था जिसका नाम सुमन्तु था और सुमन्तु का पुत्र सुतवान था। ऋषि जैमिनी ने उनमें से प्रत्येक को साम-वेद-संहिता का एक अलग हिस्सा बताया। ॥ १२-६-७५ ॥
