आस्तिक्यं दाननिष्ठा च अदम्भो ब्रह्मसेवनम् । अतुष्टिरर्थोपचयैर्वैश्यप्रकृतयस्त्विमाः ॥ ११-१७-१८ ॥
Faith in Vedic civilization, dedication to charity, freedom from hypocrisy, service to the brāhmaṇas and perpetually desiring to accumulate more money are the natural qualities of the vaiśyas. ॥ 11-17-18 ॥
english translation
वैदिक सभ्यता में आस्था, दान के प्रति समर्पण, पाखंड से मुक्ति, ब्राह्मणों की सेवा और सदैव अधिक धन संचय करने की इच्छा रखना वैश्यों के स्वाभाविक गुण हैं। ॥ ११-१७-१८ ॥
