तृतीयंऋषिसर्गंचदेवर्षित्वमुपेत्यसः । तन्त्रंसात्वतमाचष्ट नैष्कर्म्यंकर्मणांयतः ॥ १-३-८ ॥
In the millennium of the ṛṣis, the Personality of Godhead accepted the third empowered incarnation in the form of Devarṣi Nārada, who is a great sage among the demigods. He collected expositions of the Vedas which deal with devotional service and which inspire nonfruitive action. ॥ 1-3-8 ॥

ऋषियों के सर्ग में, भगवान् ने देवर्षि नारद के रूप में, जो देवताओं में महर्षि हैं, तीसरा शक्त्यावेश अवतार ग्रहण किया। उन्होंने उन वेदों का भाष्य संकलित किया जिनमें भक्ति मिलती है और जो निष्काम कर्म की प्रेरणा प्रदान करते हैं। ॥ १-३-८ ॥
