Srimad Bhagavatam
अवतारा ह्यसङ्ख्येया हरेः सत्त्वनिधेर्द्विजाः । यथाविदासिनः कुल्याः सरसः स्युः सहस्रशः ॥ १-३-२६ ॥
O brāhmaṇas, the incarnations of the Lord are innumerable, like rivulets flowing from inexhaustible sources of water. ॥ 1-3-26 ॥
english translation
हे ब्राह्मणों, भगवान् के अवतार उसी तरह असंख्य हैं, जिस प्रकार अक्षय जल के स्रोत से निकलने वाले (असंख्य) झरने। ॥ १-३-२६ ॥
