व्यास उवाच ।। इति सम्प्रश्नसंहृष्टो विप्राणांरौमहर्षणिः । प्रतिपूज्यवचस्तेषां प्रवक्तुमुपचक्रमे ।। १-२-१ ।।

sanskrit

Vyasa said: Delighted with the correct questions of the sages there, the son of Romaharshana [Sûta] began with his reply after thanking them for their words. ।। 1-2-1 ।।

english translation

व्यास जी ने कहा : रोमहर्षण के पुत्र उग्रश्रवा (सूत गोस्वामी) ने ब्राह्मणों के सम्यक् प्रश्नों से पूर्णत: प्रसन्न होकर उन्हें धन्यवाद दिया और वे उत्तर देने का प्रयास करने लगे । ।। १-२-१ ।।
