क्षुद्रायुषां नृणामङ्ग मर्त्यानामृतमिच्छताम् । इहोपहूतो भगवान् मृत्युः शामित्रकर्मणि ॥ १-१६-७ ॥
O Sūta Gosvāmī, there are those amongst men who desire freedom from death and get eternal life. They escape the slaughtering process by calling the controller of death, Yamarāja. ॥ 1-16-7 ॥

हे सूत गोस्वामी, मनुष्यों में से कुछ ऐसे हैं, जो मृत्यु से मुक्ति पाने के और शाश्वत जीवन प्राप्त करने के इच्छुक होते हैं। वे मृत्यु के नियंत्रक यमराज को बुलाकर वध किये जाने की क्रिया से बच जाते हैं। ॥ १-१६-७ ॥
