कञ्चित्कालमथावात्सीत्सत्कृतो देववत्सुखम् । भ्रातुर्ज्येष्ठस्य श्रेयस्कृत्सर्वेषां प्रीतिमावहन् ॥ १-१३-१४ ॥
Thus Mahātmā Vidura, being treated just like a godly person by his kinsmen, remained there for a certain period just to rectify the mentality of his eldest brother and in this way bring happiness to all the others. ॥ 1-13-14 ॥
english translation
इस प्रकार अपने कुटुम्बियों द्वारा देवतुल्य सम्मानित होकर, महात्मा विदुर कुछ काल तक अपने बड़े भाई की मनोदशा को ठीक करने के लिए तथा इस प्रकार अन्य सबों को सुख देने के लिए वहाँ पर रहते रहे। ॥ १-१३-१४ ॥
