स्वदेहेगलिते पूर्णं शिवं प्राप्नोति निश्चयः । केवलं मंत्रजापी तु योगं प्राप्नोति निश्चयः ११ ।

sanskrit

When the body is destroyed he completely merges in Śiva undoubtedly. The mere repeater of the mantra attains the yogic communion with Śiva certainly.

english translation

svadehegalite pUrNaM zivaM prApnoti nizcayaH | kevalaM maMtrajApI tu yogaM prApnoti nizcayaH 11 |

hk transliteration

षट्त्रिंशत्कोटिजापी तु निश्चयं योगमाप्नुयात् । सूक्ष्मं च द्विविधं ज्ञेयं ह्रस्वदीर्घविभेदतः १२ ।

sanskrit

A person who repeats the mantra thirty-six crores of times certainly attains the yogic communion. The subtle Praṇava is again two-fold—the short, and the long.

english translation

SaTtriMzatkoTijApI tu nizcayaM yogamApnuyAt | sUkSmaM ca dvividhaM jJeyaM hrasvadIrghavibhedataH 12 |

hk transliteration

अकारश्च उकारश्च मकारश्च ततः परम् । बिंदुनादयुतं तद्धि शब्दकालकलान्वितम् १३ ।

sanskrit

The long one is present in the heart of the Yogins alone—separately in the form of “A” syllable, “U” syllable, “M” syllable, Bindu and Nāda.

दीर्घप्रणवमेवं हि योगिनामेव हृद्गतम् । मकारं तंत्रितत्त्वं हि ह्रस्वप्रणव उच्यते १४ ।

sanskrit

The long Pranava (Om) is indeed the one that resides in the heart of yogis. The 'M' sound (Makara) is the essence of the Tantric principle. The short Pranava is also called the 'Hrasva Pranava'.

dIrghapraNavamevaM hi yoginAmeva hRdgatam | makAraM taMtritattvaM hi hrasvapraNava ucyate 14 |

hk transliteration

शिवः शक्तिस्तयोरैक्यं मकारं तु त्रिकात्मकम् । ह्रस्वमेवं हि जाप्यं स्यात्सर्वपापक्षयैषिणाम् १५ ।

sanskrit

Śiva, Śakti and their union are indicated by “M” syllable ramified into three and this is called the short subtle Praṇava. The short Praṇava shall be recited and repeated by those who desire their all sins annihilated.

zivaH zaktistayoraikyaM makAraM tu trikAtmakam | hrasvamevaM hi jApyaM syAtsarvapApakSayaiSiNAm 15 |
