तिथ्यादौ देवपूजा हि पूर्णभोगप्रदा नृणाम् । पूर्वभागः पितृ-णां तु निशि युक्तः प्रशस्यते २६ ।

The worship of the deities on the respective Tithis etc. is conducive to full enjoyment for the devotees. In regard to rites of the manes, the earlier part must be in contact with the night previous.

परभागस्तु देवानां दिवा युक्तः प्रशस्यते । उदयव्यापिनी ग्राह्या मध्याह्ने यदि सा तिथिः २७ ।

The portion for the deities is considered auspicious when it aligns with the daytime. The midday (madhyāhne) is the most appropriate time to receive the benefit of that particular tithi (lunar day).
