Shiva Purana
लक्षयेन्मनसः स्थैर्यं तत्तद्ध्यायेत्पुनः पुनः ॥ ध्यानमादौ सविषयं ततो निर्विषयं जगुः ॥ ४ ॥
He shall observe the steadiness of the mind and frequently meditate. This meditation, they say, has at the outset a specific object. Thereafter it becomes devoid of any specific object.
english translation
lakSayenmanasaH sthairyaM tattaddhyAyetpunaH punaH ॥ dhyAnamAdau saviSayaM tato nirviSayaM jaguH ॥ 4 ॥
