ध्यै चिंतायां स्मृतो धातुः शिवचिंता मुहुर्मुहुः ॥ १६ ॥
In the meditation of the mind the metal is remembered and the thought of Lord Shiva is repeatedly mentioned.

dhyai ciMtAyAM smRto dhAtuH zivaciMtA muhurmuhuH ॥ 16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयोगाभ्यासस्तथाल्पे ऽपि यथा पापं विनाशयेत् ॥ ध्यायतः क्षणमात्रं वा श्रद्धया परमेश्वरम् ॥ १७ ॥
The practice of yoga, even in a small amount, can destroy all sinful reactions. Meditate on the Supreme Lord with faith even for a moment.

yogAbhyAsastathAlpe 'pi yathA pApaM vinAzayet ॥ dhyAyataH kSaNamAtraM vA zraddhayA paramezvaram ॥ 17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअव्याक्षिप्तेन मनसा ध्यानमित्यभिधीयते ॥ १८ ॥
It is called meditation with an undisturbed mind.

avyAkSiptena manasA dhyAnamityabhidhIyate ॥ 18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबुद्धिप्रवाहरूपस्य ध्यानस्यास्यावलंबनम् ॥ ध्येयमित्युच्यते सद्भिस्तच्च सांबः स्वयं शिवः ॥ १९ ॥
The object of meditation on the form of intellectual visions is Dhyeya and that is Śiva himself accompanied by Śivā.

buddhipravAharUpasya dhyAnasyAsyAvalaMbanam ॥ dhyeyamityucyate sadbhistacca sAMbaH svayaM zivaH ॥ 19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविमुक्तिप्रत्ययं पूर्णमैश्वर्यं चाणिमादिकम् ॥ शिवध्यानस्य पूर्णस्य साक्षादुक्तं प्रयोजनम् ॥ २० ॥
The experience of salvation and the perfect Aṇimā etc. is the direct fruit of meditation on Śiva.

vimuktipratyayaM pUrNamaizvaryaM cANimAdikam ॥ zivadhyAnasya pUrNasya sAkSAduktaM prayojanam ॥ 20 ॥
