लक्षणोद्धारसमये कार्यं नयनमोचनम् ॥ जलाधिवासे शयने शाययेत्तान्त्वधोमुखीम् ॥ ४६ ॥
At the rite of Lakṣaṇoddhāra the eyes shall be shut. The immersion shall be performed with the idols placed prone on the bed.

कुम्भोदशायितां मंत्रैर्हृदि तां सन्नियोजयेत् ॥ कृतालयां परामाहुः प्रतिष्ठामकृतालयात् ॥ ४७ ॥
The installation of the idol with the rites for the temple is better than without those rites. If the idols are immersed in the water of the vessel the mantras shall be repeated touching the chest.
english translation
शक्तः कृतालयः पश्चात्प्रतिष्ठाविधिमाचरेत् ॥ अशक्तश्चेत्प्रतिष्ठाप्य लिंगं बेरमथापि वा ॥ ४८ ॥
If he is able to do so, he should then perform the ritual of establishment. If he is unable to do so he should install a lingam or a berry tree.

शक्तेरनुगुणं पश्चात्प्रकुर्वीत शिवालयम् ॥ गृहार्चां च पुनर्वक्ष्ये प्रतिष्ठाविधिमुत्तमम् ॥ ४९ ॥
Afterwards one should construct a temple for Lord Śiva according to one’s ability. I shall again describe the worship of the house and the excellent method of establishment.

कृत्वा कनीयसंबेरं लिंगं वा लक्षणान्वितम् ॥ अयने चोत्तरे प्राप्ते शुक्लपक्शे शुभे दिने ॥ ५० ॥
Make a younger samber or a penis with the characteristics. On the auspicious day of the bright fortnight when the moon reaches the north.
