शोधितां चंदनालिप्तां श्वभ्रे ब्रह्मशिलां क्षिपेत् ॥ करन्यासं ततः कृत्वा नवभिः शक्तिनामभिः ॥ ३१ ॥

Purified and smeared with sandalwood paste, one should throw a brahmaśīla on the dog’s neck. Then place the hands in the nine names of the powers.

english translation

zodhitAM caMdanAliptAM zvabhre brahmazilAM kSipet ॥ karanyAsaM tataH kRtvA navabhiH zaktinAmabhiH ॥ 31 ॥
