Shiva Purana
असंपूज्य शिवस्तोत्रं जपात्फलमुदाहृतम् ॥ संपूज्य च जपे तस्य फलं वक्तुं न शक्यते ॥ १८७ ॥
The benefit thus mentioned is of the mere Japa of the hymn without worshipping. It is impossible to count the benefit if the Japa of the hymn is performed along with warship.

asaMpUjya zivastotraM japAtphalamudAhRtam ॥ saMpUjya ca jape tasya phalaM vaktuM na zakyate ॥ 187 ॥
