रं वह्नयेति स्वाहेति मध्ये हुत्वाहुतित्रयम् ॥ सर्पिषा वा समिद्भिर्वा परिषेचनमाचरेत् ॥ २६ ॥

In the middle of the sacrificial fire one should chant the mantra rām vahṇaya and svāhā. Sprinkle with butter or with sacrificial fires.

एवं कृते शिवाग्निः स्यात्स्मरेत्तत्र शिवासनम् ॥ तत्रावाह्य यजेद्देवमर्धनारीश्वरं शिवम् ॥ दीपान्तं परिषिच्याथ समिद्धोमं समाचरेत् ॥ २७ ॥

If this is done, the fire of Lord Śiva will be kindled, and one should remember the seat of Lord Śiva there. There one should invoke Lord Śiva, the lord of half-women, and worship him. Then sprinkle the end of the lamp and perform the sacrificial fire.

evaM kRte zivAgniH syAtsmarettatra zivAsanam ॥ tatrAvAhya yajeddevamardhanArIzvaraM zivam ॥ dIpAntaM pariSicyAtha samiddhomaM samAcaret ॥ 27 ॥

ताः पालाश्यः परा वापि याज्ञिया द्वादशांगुलाः ॥ अवक्रा न स्वयं शुष्कास्सत्वचो निर्व्रणाः समाः ॥ २८ ॥

These are the palāśyas or the others of the sacrificial animals, which are twelve fingers long. They are not curved and dry themselves and the skin is free from ulcers.

tAH pAlAzyaH parA vApi yAjJiyA dvAdazAMgulAH ॥ avakrA na svayaM zuSkAssatvaco nirvraNAH samAH ॥ 28 ॥

दशांगुला वा विहिताः कनिष्ठांगुलिसंमिताः ॥ प्रादेशमात्रा वालाभे होतव्याः सकला अपि ॥ २९ ॥

They are ten fingers long and measure the length of the lower finger Even all the regions should be offered in the valabha.

दूर्वापत्रसमाकारां चतुरंगुलमायताम् ॥ दद्यादाज्याहुतिं पश्चादन्नमक्षप्रमाणतः ॥ ३० ॥

It was about the size of a durva leaf and four fingers long. Afterwards one should offer sacrificial oblations and food in the measure of an axle.
