Shiva Purana
प्रक्षाल्यक्षालनीयानि प्रोक्षण्या प्रोक्ष्य शोधयेत् ॥ मणिजं काष्ठजं वाथ श्रोत्रियागारसम्भवम् ॥ १३ ॥
After washing these things, one should sprinkle them with water and purify them. It may be made of gems or wood and may be produced from the chamber of the ears.
english translation
prakSAlyakSAlanIyAni prokSaNyA prokSya zodhayet ॥ maNijaM kASThajaM vAtha zrotriyAgArasambhavam ॥ 13 ॥
