उपमन्युरुवाच ॥ अनुक्तं चात्र पूजायाः कमलोपभयादिव ॥ यत्तदन्यत्प्रवक्ष्यामि समासान्न तु विस्तरात् ॥ १ ॥
Upamanyu said:— What has not been mentioned because I was afraid of losing the sequence of worship, I shall now mention briefly,

हविर्निवेदनात्पूर्वं दीपदानादनन्तरम् ॥ कुर्यादावरणाभ्यर्चां प्राप्ते नीराजने ऽथ वा ॥ २ ॥
After offering the light but before offering the Havis, the devotee shall perform the worship of the Āvaraṇa; or just when the time of Nīrājana has arrived.
english translation
तत्रेशानादिसद्यांतं रुद्राद्यस्त्रांतमेव च ॥ शिवस्य वा शिवायाश्च प्रथमावरणे जपेत् ॥ ३ ॥
There are also weapons beginning with Lord Śiva and weapons beginning with Lord Śiva. One should chant the mantra of Shiva or Shiva in the first covering.

ऐशान्यां पूर्वभागे च दक्षिणे चोत्तरे तथा ॥ पश्चिमे च तथाग्नेय्यामैशान्यां नैरृते तथा ॥ ४ ॥
They lived in the northeast, east, south and north. In the west and in the south-east and in the north-east.

वायव्यां पुनरैशान्यां चतुर्दिक्षु ततः परम् ॥ गर्भावरणमाख्यातं मन्त्रसंघातमेव वा ॥ ५ ॥
