गोशृंगेण सदर्भेण पालाशेन दलेन वा ॥ पाद्मेन वाथ पाणिभ्यां पञ्चकृत्वस्त्रिरेव वा ॥ ११ ॥

A cow’s horn, a sadarbha tree, or a piece of palm tree may be used. Or with the lotus in both hands five or three times.

gozRMgeNa sadarbheNa pAlAzena dalena vA ॥ pAdmena vAtha pANibhyAM paJcakRtvastrireva vA ॥ 11 ॥

उद्यानादौ गृहे चैव वर्धन्या कलशेन वा ॥ अवगाहनकाले ऽद्भिर्मंत्रितैरभिषेचयेत् ॥ १२ ॥

If he is taking bath in a garden or in the house he shall pour water with Vardhanī or a water-jar. When taking bath he shall pour water with the mantras.

udyAnAdau gRhe caiva vardhanyA kalazena vA ॥ avagAhanakAle 'dbhirmaMtritairabhiSecayet ॥ 12 ॥

अथ चेद्वारुणं कर्तुमशक्तः शुद्धवाससा ॥ आर्द्रेण शोधयेद्देहमापादतलमस्तकम् ॥ १३ ॥

If one is unable to take water-bath, one shall take a wet cloth and wipe the body from foot to head.

atha cedvAruNaM kartumazaktaH zuddhavAsasA ॥ ArdreNa zodhayeddehamApAdatalamastakam ॥ 13 ॥

आग्नेयं वाथ वा मांत्रं कुर्यात्स्नानं शिवेन वा ॥ शिवचिंतापरं स्नानं युक्तस्यात्मीयमुच्यते ॥ १४ ॥

Or he shall take the self-bath. That is, one shall repeat the name Śiva. That bath wherein Śiva is remembered is called the self-bath of a Yogin.

AgneyaM vAtha vA mAMtraM kuryAtsnAnaM zivena vA ॥ zivaciMtAparaM snAnaM yuktasyAtmIyamucyate ॥ 14 ॥

स्वसूत्रोक्तविधानेन मंत्राचमनपूर्वकम् ॥ आचरेद्ब्रह्मयज्ञांतं कृत्वा देवादितर्पणम् ॥ १५ ॥

In accordance with the rules prescribed in one’s code he shall perform the rites of Tarpaṇa for the gods beginning with Ācamana and ending with Brahmayajña.
