लुब्धानां वक्रमनसामपि मत्प्रवणात्मनाम् ॥ मम पञ्चाक्षरी विद्या संसारभयतारिणी ॥ ६ ॥
Those who are greedy and whose minds are fixed on Me are inclined toward Me. My five-syllabled knowledge destroys the fear of this world.
english translation
मयैवमसकृद्देवि प्रतिज्ञातं धरातले ॥ पतितो ऽपि विमुच्येत मद्भक्तो विद्ययानया ॥ ७ ॥
O goddess, often I have promised that in this world even a fallen man may become liberated through this Mantra if he happens to be my devotee.
english translation
देव्युवाच ॥ कर्मायोग्यो भवेन्मर्त्यः पतितो यदि सर्वथा ॥ कर्मायोगेन यत्कर्म कृतं च नरकाय हि ॥ ततः कथं विमुच्येत पतितो विद्यया ऽनया ॥ ८ ॥
The goddess said:— If a fallen man does not deserve holy rites in any respect, the rites performed by him are conducive to hell. Then how can the fallen man be liberated through this Mantra?
english translation
ईश्वर उवाच ॥ तथ्यमेतत्त्वया प्रोक्तं तथा हि शृणु सुन्दरि ॥ रहस्यमिति मत्वैतद्गोपितं यन्मया पुरा ॥ ९ ॥
Lord Śiva said:— O good woman, what you have said is true. Now listen to what has been a great guarded secret hitherto.
english translation
समंत्रकं मां पतितः पूजयेद्यदि मोहितः ॥ नारकी स्यान्न सन्देहो मम पञ्चाक्षरं विना ॥ १० ॥
Yes, surely, if the fallen man, under delusion, were to worship me with other mantras, excluding the five-syllabled one, he is sure to fall into hell.
