निग्रहं चाप्यसाधूनामीशानश्शिवशासनात् ॥ धत्ते तु धरणीं मूर्ध्ना शेषः शिवनियोगतः ॥ ३१ ॥

nigrahaM cApyasAdhUnAmIzAnazzivazAsanAt ॥ dhatte tu dharaNIM mUrdhnA zeSaH zivaniyogataH ॥ 31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयामाहुस्तामसीं रौद्रीं मूर्तिमंतकरीं हरेः ॥ सृजत्यशेषमीशस्य शासनाच्चतुराननः ॥ ३२ ॥
The fierce form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is called Tāmasi. The four-faced Lord creates the rest by the command of the Lord.

yAmAhustAmasIM raudrIM mUrtimaMtakarIM hareH ॥ sRjatyazeSamIzasya zAsanAccaturAnanaH ॥ 32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअन्याभिर्मूर्तिभिः स्वाभिः पाति चांते निहन्ति च ॥ विष्णुः पालयते विश्वं कालकालस्य शासनात् ॥ ३३ ॥
He protects them in other forms of His own and ultimately kills them. Lord Vishnu rules the universe by the rule of time.

anyAbhirmUrtibhiH svAbhiH pAti cAMte nihanti ca ॥ viSNuH pAlayate vizvaM kAlakAlasya zAsanAt ॥ 33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसृजते त्रसते चापि स्वकाभिस्तनुभिस्त्रिभिः ॥ हरत्यंते जगत्सर्वं हरस्तस्यैव शासनात् ॥ ३४ ॥
He creates and frightens with His own threefold bodies. At the end of the day Lord Śiva takes away the entire universe by his command.

sRjate trasate cApi svakAbhistanubhistribhiH ॥ haratyaMte jagatsarvaM harastasyaiva zAsanAt ॥ 34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसृजत्यपि च विश्वात्मा त्रिधा भिन्नस्तु रक्षति ॥ कालः करोति सकलं कालस्संहरति प्रजाः ॥ ३५ ॥
The Supreme Soul, the Supreme Soul of the universe, creates and protects in three ways. Time does everything and time destroys the people.

sRjatyapi ca vizvAtmA tridhA bhinnastu rakSati ॥ kAlaH karoti sakalaM kAlassaMharati prajAH ॥ 35 ॥
