जपित्वा शक्तितो मूलं ध्यात्वा साम्बं त्रियम्बकम् ॥ अनुज्ञाप्य यथापूर्वं नमस्कृत्य कृताञ्जलिः ॥ ८१ ॥
After chanting the mantra with all your might, one should meditate on the root of Sāmba and Triyambaka. After giving permission he offered obeisances as before and offered obeisances with folded hands.
english translation
japitvA zaktito mUlaM dhyAtvA sAmbaM triyambakam ॥ anujJApya yathApUrvaM namaskRtya kRtAJjaliH ॥ 81 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसमुत्सृजामि भगवन्व्रतमेतत्त्वदाज्ञया ॥ इत्युक्त्वा लिंगमूलस्थान्दर्भानुत्तरतस्त्यजेत् ॥ ८२ ॥
O my lord, by your command I am releasing this vow. Having said this one should leave the darbha at the root of the Linga in the north.
english translation
samutsRjAmi bhagavanvratametattvadAjJayA ॥ ityuktvA liMgamUlasthAndarbhAnuttaratastyajet ॥ 82 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो दण्डजटाचीरमेखला अपि चोत्सृजेत् ॥ पुनराचम्य विधिवत्पञ्चाक्षरमुदीरयेत् ॥ ८३ ॥
Then he shall eschew the staff, the matted hair, the bark garment and the girdle too. After performing Acamana he shall repeat the five-syllabled mantra.
english translation
tato daNDajaTAcIramekhalA api cotsRjet ॥ punarAcamya vidhivatpaJcAkSaramudIrayet ॥ 83 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयः कृत्वात्यंतिकीं दीक्षामादेहान्तमनाकुलः ॥ व्रतमेतत्प्रकुर्वीत स तु वै नैष्ठिकः स्मृतः ॥ ८४ ॥
He who has resolved to perform this Vrata till death and takes the initiation accordingly and performs the Virata undistressedly is a Naiṣṭhika.
english translation
yaH kRtvAtyaMtikIM dIkSAmAdehAntamanAkulaH ॥ vratametatprakurvIta sa tu vai naiSThikaH smRtaH ॥ 84 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसो ऽत्याश्रमी च विज्ञेयो महापाशुपतस्तथा ॥ स एव तपतां श्रेष्ठ स एव च महाव्रती ॥ ८५ ॥
He is an Atyāśramin, a Mahāpāśupata, the most excellent of all austere persons and a great Vratin.
english translation
so 'tyAzramI ca vijJeyo mahApAzupatastathA ॥ sa eva tapatAM zreSTha sa eva ca mahAvratI ॥ 85 ॥
