यदा तथ्यं च पथ्यं च स्ववाक्यं तद्वृथा ऽभवत् ॥ तदा ततो ययुर्मंदा ब्रह्मलोकं सनातनम् ॥ २१॥
When their truthful and wholesome words went in vain the Mantras turned away from that place and went to the eternal Brahmaloka.
english translation
yadA tathyaM ca pathyaM ca svavAkyaM tadvRthA 'bhavat ॥ tadA tato yayurmaMdA brahmalokaM sanAtanam ॥ 21॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथोवाच गणाध्यक्षो देवान्विष्णुपुरोगमान् ॥ मन्त्राः प्रमाणं न कृता युष्माभिर्बलगर्वितैः ॥ २२ ॥
The chief of the host then addressed the demigods, led by Lord Viṣṇu. You who are proud of your strength have not made the mantras proof.
english translation
athovAca gaNAdhyakSo devAnviSNupurogamAn ॥ mantrAH pramANaM na kRtA yuSmAbhirbalagarvitaiH ॥ 22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयस्मादस्मिन्मखे देवैरित्थं वयमसत्कृताः ॥ तस्माद्वो जीवितैस्सार्धमपनेष्यामि गर्वितम् ॥ २३ ॥
Because of this sacrifice, the demigods have not honored us in this way. Therefore I shall take away your pride along with your lives.
english translation
yasmAdasminmakhe devairitthaM vayamasatkRtAH ॥ tasmAdvo jIvitaissArdhamapaneSyAmi garvitam ॥ 23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्युक्त्वा भगवान् क्रुद्धो व्यदहन्नेत्रवह्निना ॥ यक्षवाटं महाकूटं यथातिस्रः पुरो हरः ॥ २४ ॥
After saying thus the infuriated lord burnt the sacrificial altar with the fire of his eyes as Śiva had burnt the three Puras.
english translation
ityuktvA bhagavAn kruddho vyadahannetravahninA ॥ yakSavATaM mahAkUTaM yathAtisraH puro haraH ॥ 24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो गणेश्वरास्सर्वे पर्वतोदग्रविग्रहाः ॥ यूपानुत्पाट्य होत्ःणां कंठेष्वाबध्य रज्जुभिः ॥ २५ ॥
When his words were true and healthy, they were in vain. Then and there the Manda went to the eternal world of Brahma.

tato gaNezvarAssarve parvatodagravigrahAH ॥ yUpAnutpATya hotHNAM kaMTheSvAbadhya rajjubhiH ॥ 25 ॥
