तस्य पुत्रशतं त्वासीत्ककुद्मी ज्येष्ठ उत्तमः ॥ तेजस्वी सुबलः पारो धर्मिष्ठो ब्रह्मपालकः॥ २६॥
He had a hundred sons of whom the eldest and the most excellent was Kakudmin. He was brilliant, strong, virtuous and a protector of brahmins.
english translation
ककुद्मिनस्तु संजाता रेवती नाम कन्यका॥ महालावण्यसंयुक्ता दिव्यलक्ष्मीरिवापरा ॥ २७॥
A daughter Revatī was born to Kakudmin. She was endowed with great beauty, She was another Lakṣmī.
english translation
प्रष्टुं कन्यावरं राजा ककुद्मी कन्यया सह ॥ ब्रह्मलोके विधेस्सम्यक्सर्वाधीशो जगाम ह ॥ २८॥
The king Kakudmin the lord of all went to Brahma’s region near Brahmā, accompanied by his daughter in order to ask him about a suitable bridegroom for her.

आवर्तमाने गांधर्वे स्थितो लब्धक्षणः क्षणम् ॥ शुश्राव तत्र गांधर्वं नर्तने ब्रह्मणोंऽतिके ॥ २९ ॥
While dance and music was going on, he stood there waiting for a moment near Brahmā.
english translation
मुहूर्तभूतं तत्काले गतं बहुयुगं तदा ॥ न किंचिद्बुबुधे राजा ककुद्मी मुनयस्स तु ॥ ३० ॥
Although it was only a Muhūrta in Brahmā’s region many Yugas had passed by. But O sages, the king Kakudmin did not know anything about it.
