ये सत्यस्मिच्छिवे ज्ञाने सर्वकामार्थ साधने ॥ न कुर्वन्त्यात्मनः श्रेयस्तदत्र महदद्भुतम् ॥ ४६॥
Even when the perfect knowledge of Śiva that leads to the achievement of desire is available, it is really a great surprise if people do not strive for its attainment in their own interest.
english translation
ye satyasmicchive jJAne sarvakAmArtha sAdhane ॥ na kurvantyAtmanaH zreyastadatra mahadadbhutam ॥ 46॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअव्यक्तेन्द्रियवृत्तित्वाद्बाल्ये दुःखं महत्पुनः ॥ इच्छन्नपि न शक्नोति वक्तुं कर्त्तुं प्रतिक्रियाम् ॥ ४७ ॥
There is again this great misery in infancy (bālya) because the operative power of the sense-organs is not clearly manifest or developed. Even if he wishes he is unable to express or take remedial or preventive measures.
english translation
avyaktendriyavRttitvAdbAlye duHkhaM mahatpunaH ॥ icchannapi na zaknoti vaktuM karttuM pratikriyAm ॥ 47 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदंतोत्थाने महद्दुःखमल्पेन व्याधिना तथा ॥। बालरोगैश्च विविधै पीडा बालग्रहैरपि ॥ ४८ ॥
There is a great trouble when the child cuts the teeth. There is pain due to minor childhood ailments, different kinds of children’s diseases and adverse evil planets and other evils.

daMtotthAne mahadduHkhamalpena vyAdhinA tathA ॥। bAlarogaizca vividhai pIDA bAlagrahairapi ॥ 48 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्वचित्क्षुत्तृट्परीतांगः क्वचित्तिष्ठति संरटन् ॥ विण्मूत्रभक्षणाद्यं च मोहाद्बालस्समाचरेत् ॥ ४९॥
The infant boy may remain somewhere very hungry and thirsty, or lying somewhere he may be crying or he may be eating or drinking faeces and the urine due to delusion.

kvacitkSuttRTparItAMgaH kvacittiSThati saMraTan ॥ viNmUtrabhakSaNAdyaM ca mohAdbAlassamAcaret ॥ 49॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकौमारे कर्णपीडायां मातापित्रोश्च साधनः ॥ अक्षराध्ययनाद्यैश्च नानादुःखं प्रवर्तते ॥ ५०॥
It is a means of helping parents in childhood when they have ear pain By studying the letters and so on, various sufferings are inflicted.

kaumAre karNapIDAyAM mAtApitrozca sAdhanaH ॥ akSarAdhyayanAdyaizca nAnAduHkhaM pravartate ॥ 50॥
