पुंस्कोकिलरुतं यत्र पद्मानि कमलाकराः ।। नद्यस्सरांसि रम्याणि ह्यन्योन्यविचराणि च ।। ३१।।

The cooings of the male cuckoo are there. Lotuses are there. There are lotus-ponds. There are rivers and lakes. Each of them is more excellent than the other.

puMskokilarutaM yatra padmAni kamalAkarAH || nadyassarAMsi ramyANi hyanyonyavicarANi ca || 31||

भूषणान्यतिशुभ्राणि गंधाढ्यं चानुलेपनम् ।। वीणावेणुमृदंगानां स्वना गेयानि च द्विज।। ३२।।

There the ornaments are very brilliant. The unguents are sweet-smelling. O brahmin, the sound of Vīṇās, flutes and Mṛdaṅgas can be heard there. There are songs everywhere.

bhUSaNAnyatizubhrANi gaMdhADhyaM cAnulepanam || vINAveNumRdaMgAnAM svanA geyAni ca dvija|| 32||

दैत्योरगैश्च भुज्यंते पाताले वै सुखानि च ।। तपसा समवाप्नोति दानवैस्सिद्धमानवैः।। ३३।।

There the Daityas and serpents rejoice and enjoy pleasures. It is by performing penances that Dānavas and Siddha beings attain the same.

daityoragaizca bhujyaMte pAtAle vai sukhAni ca || tapasA samavApnoti dAnavaissiddhamAnavaiH|| 33||
