मही ददाति यस्तस्मै कृष्टां फलवतीं शुभाम् ।। स तारयति वै वंश्यान्दश पूर्वान्दशापरान् ।। ११।।

He who gives him a good fertile and well ploughed land facilitates the redemption of the members of his family upto ten generations before him and after him.

english translation

mahI dadAti yastasmai kRSTAM phalavatIM zubhAm || sa tArayati vai vaMzyAndaza pUrvAndazAparAn || 11||

इह भुक्त्वाखिलान्कामानंते दिव्यशरीरवान् ।। विमानेन च दिव्येन शिवलोकं स गच्छति ।। १२।।

After enjoying all the pleasures here, he becomes endowed with a divine body on death and goes to Śivaloka, by a divine aerial chariot.

english translation

iha bhuktvAkhilAnkAmAnaMte divyazarIravAn || vimAnena ca divyena zivalokaM sa gacchati || 12||

न यज्ञैस्तुष्टिमायांति देवाः प्रोक्षणकैरपि ।। बलिभिः पुष्पपूजाभिर्यथा पुस्तकवाचनैः ।। १३ ।।

The gods are not satisfied so much with sacrifices, Prokṣaṇakas (immolations of animals at the sacrifices), oblations and floral worships as with the recitation of books.

english translation

na yajJaistuSTimAyAMti devAH prokSaNakairapi || balibhiH puSpapUjAbhiryathA pustakavAcanaiH || 13 ||

शंभोरायतने यस्तु कारयेद्धर्मपुस्तकम् ।। विष्णोरर्कस्य कस्यापि शृणु तस्यापि तत्फलम् ।। १४।।

Listen to the meritorious benefits of that man who makes arrangement for the Sacred Text book in the temple of Śiva, Viṣṇu, the Sun or any one else.

zaMbhorAyatane yastu kArayeddharmapustakam || viSNorarkasya kasyApi zRNu tasyApi tatphalam || 14||

राजसूयाश्वमेधानां फलमाप्नोति मानवः ।। सूर्यलोकं च भित्त्वाशु ब्रह्मलोकं स गच्छति ।। १५ ।।

The man derives the benefit of Rājasūyas and Aśvamedhas. Piercing through the sun’s sphere he goes to to the Brahmaloka

rAjasUyAzvamedhAnAM phalamApnoti mAnavaH || sUryalokaM ca bhittvAzu brahmalokaM sa gacchati || 15 ||
