मनस्सर्वेन्द्रियाणां च यस्मा द्दुःखं प्रजायते ।। धने सत्यपि ये दानं न प्रयच्छंति तृष्णया ।। ३१ ।।

sanskrit

The mind and all the senses are the cause of suffering. Those who do not give alms out of thirst even though they are rich.

english translation

manassarvendriyANAM ca yasmA dduHkhaM prajAyate || dhane satyapi ye dAnaM na prayacchaMti tRSNayA || 31 ||

अतिथिं चावमन्यते काले प्राप्ते गृहाश्रमे ।। तस्मात्ते दुष्कृतं प्राप्य गच्छंति निरयेऽशुचौ ।। ३२ ।।

sanskrit

He also despises a guest in the household when the time comes Therefore they who have done evil deeds go to an unclean hell.

येऽन्नं दत्त्वा हि भुंजंति न श्वभ्यस्सह वायसैः ।। तेषां च विवृतं वक्त्रं कीलकद्वयताडितम्।। ३३।।
