सनत्कुमार उवाच ।। मिथ्यागमं प्रवृत्तस्तु द्विजिह्वाख्ये च गच्छति ।। जिह्वार्द्धकोशविस्तीर्णहलैस्तीक्ष्णः प्रपीड्यते।। १।।

sanskrit

Sanatkumāra said:— He who follows false scriptures goes to the hell Dvijihva. He is tortured by the tongue-like ploughshares extending to one and a half kilometres.

english translation

sanatkumAra uvAca || mithyAgamaM pravRttastu dvijihvAkhye ca gacchati || jihvArddhakozavistIrNahalaistIkSNaH prapIDyate|| 1||

निर्भर्त्सयति यः क्रूरो मातरं पितरं गुरुम् ।। विष्ठाभिः कृमिमिश्राभिर्मुखमापूर्य्य हन्यते ।। २।।

sanskrit

The mouth of the man who had been cruel to his parents and had reproached them is filled with faeces and worms and he is beaten.

english translation

nirbhartsayati yaH krUro mAtaraM pitaraM gurum || viSThAbhiH kRmimizrAbhirmukhamApUryya hanyate || 2||

ये शिवायतनारामवापीकूपतडागकान्।। विद्रवंति द्विजस्थानं नरास्तत्र रमंति च ।। ३।।

sanskrit

They are the temples of Lord Shiva, the wells, the wells and the ponds. Men flee to the abode of the brahmins and enjoy themselves there.

ye zivAyatanArAmavApIkUpataDAgakAn|| vidravaMti dvijasthAnaM narAstatra ramaMti ca || 3||

कामायोद्वर्तनाभ्यंग स्नानपानाम्बुभोजनम् ।। क्रीडनं मैथुनं द्यूतमाचरन्ति मदोद्धता।। ४।।

sanskrit

For the sake of lust, bathing, drinking, eating and drinking water. They play, have sex and gamble in their intoxication.

english translation

kAmAyodvartanAbhyaMga snAnapAnAmbubhojanam || krIDanaM maithunaM dyUtamAcaranti madoddhatA|| 4||

पेचिरे विविधैर्घेरैरिक्षुयंत्रादिपीडनैः ।। निरयाग्निषु पच्यंते यावदाभूतसंप्लवम्।। ५।।

sanskrit

They were beaten with various kinds of gheras, iron instruments and other presses. They are cooked in the fires of hell until the flood of the past.

english translation
