यौवनाश्वो हतो येन मांधाता सबलः पुरा ॥ चक्रवर्ती महातेजास्त्रैलोक्यविजयो नृपः ॥ २१॥
It was the weapon with which Yauvanāśva the emperor of great refulgence and Māndhātṛ the powerful king who conquered the three worlds were killed formerly.
english translation
yauvanAzvo hato yena mAMdhAtA sabalaH purA ॥ cakravartI mahAtejAstrailokyavijayo nRpaH ॥ 21॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदर्पाविष्टो हैहयश्च निः क्षिप्तो लवणासुरः ॥ शत्रुघ्नं नृपतिं युद्धे समाहूय समंततः ॥ २२॥
The arrogant Haihaya king was killed with it. When the demon Lavaṇa challenged king Śatrughna this missile was hurled at him.
english translation
darpAviSTo haihayazca niH kSipto lavaNAsuraH ॥ zatrughnaM nRpatiM yuddhe samAhUya samaMtataH ॥ 22॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्मिन्दैत्ये विनष्टे तु रुद्रहस्ते गतं तु यत्॥ तच्छूलमिति तीक्ष्णाग्रं संत्रासजननं महत् ॥ २३॥
When that demon was killed this trident had returned to Rudra. It had a sharp point and was highly terrifying.
english translation
tasmindaitye vinaSTe tu rudrahaste gataM tu yat॥ tacchUlamiti tIkSNAgraM saMtrAsajananaM mahat ॥ 23॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्रिशिखां भृकुटीं कृत्वा तर्जयंतमिव स्थितम् ॥ विधूम्रानलसंकाशं बालसूर्यमिवोदितम् ॥ २४॥
It stood as if threatening all with the three spikes for its knit eyebrows. It was like a blazing smokeless fire and the rising sun.

trizikhAM bhRkuTIM kRtvA tarjayaMtamiva sthitam ॥ vidhUmrAnalasaMkAzaM bAlasUryamivoditam ॥ 24॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसूर्य्य हस्तमनिर्द्देश्यं पाशहस्तमिवांतकम्॥ परशुं तीक्ष्णधारं च सर्पाद्यैश्च विभूषितम्॥ २५॥
The hand of the sun is indefinable like the hand of death like a rope He carried an ax with a sharp edge and was decorated with snakes and other objects.

sUryya hastamanirddezyaM pAzahastamivAMtakam॥ parazuM tIkSNadhAraM ca sarpAdyaizca vibhUSitam॥ 25॥
