ब्रह्मणा विष्णुना यो वै वन्द्यस्सर्वार्थसाधकः।। सोस्मान्प्रेषयते प्रेष्यान्कार्ये लोकसुखावहे ।।४१।।

sanskrit

He who is worthy of being respected by Brahmā and Viṣṇu, he who secures everything accomplished is sending us, his emissaries on an errand that is conducive to the happiness of all the worlds.

english translation

brahmaNA viSNunA yo vai vandyassarvArthasAdhakaH|| sosmAnpreSayate preSyAnkArye lokasukhAvahe ||41||

अयं वै जगतां स्वामी पिता सा जननी मता।। अयं युक्तश्च सम्बन्धो वर्द्धतां चन्द्रवत्सदा ।।४२।।

sanskrit

He is the master of the worlds and their father. She is considered the mother. Let this proper alliance increase for ever like the moon.

english translation

ayaM vai jagatAM svAmI pitA sA jananI matA|| ayaM yuktazca sambandho varddhatAM candravatsadA ||42||

ब्रह्मोवाच।। इत्युक्त्वा ह्यृषयो दिव्या नमस्कृत्य शिवं तदा ।। गता आकाशमार्गेण यत्रास्ति हिमवत्पुरम्।।४३।।

sanskrit

Brahmā said: Saying thus the celestial sages bowed to Śiva and went by aerial path in the direction of the city of Himavat.

english translation

brahmovAca|| ityuktvA hyRSayo divyA namaskRtya zivaM tadA || gatA AkAzamArgeNa yatrAsti himavatpuram||43||

दृष्ट्वा तां च पुरं दिव्या मृषयस्तेऽतिविस्मिताः ।। वर्णयन्तश्च स्वं पुण्यमब्रुवन्वै परस्परम् ।। ४४ ।।

sanskrit

On seeing that city of heavenly splendour, the sages were surprised. Expatiating on their good fortune they spoke to one another.

dRSTvA tAM ca puraM divyA mRSayaste'tivismitAH || varNayantazca svaM puNyamabruvanvai parasparam || 44 ||

।। ऋषय ऊचुः ।। पुण्यवन्तो वयं धन्या दृष्ट्वैतद्धिमव त्पुरम् ।। यस्मादेवंविधे कार्य्ये शिवेनैव नियोजिताः ।।४५।।

The sages said: We are really blessed and meritorious in being able to see this city because we have been engaged in a task like this.
