मायामयं कृतमिदं च जगत्समग्रं सर्वात्मना हि विधृतं परया स्वबुद्ध्या ॥ सवार्त्मभिस्सुकृतिभिः परमात्मभावैस्संसिक्तमात्मनि गणः परिवेष्टितश्च ॥२१॥
This entire universe has been made of illusion; it is held by the supreme soul with His great intellect. It is united and enveloped by the Gaṇas of the nature of pervading souls of meritorious deeds, akin to the nature of supreme soul.
english translation
के ग्रहाः के ऋतुगणाः के वान्येपि त्वया ग्रहाः॥ किमुक्तं चाधुना देवि शिवार्थं वरवर्णिनि ॥२२॥
What are these planets? What are these sets of seasons? What are those other planets? o gentle lady, what is said by you, O fair-complexioned one.
english translation
गुणकार्य्यप्रभेदेनावाभ्यां प्रादुर्भवः कृतः ॥ भक्तहेतोर्जगत्यस्मिन्भक्तवत्सलभावतः ॥२३॥
We two have created the universe different in attributes and actions for the sake of the devotees and with a disposition favourable to them.
english translation
त्वं हि वै प्रकृतिस्सूक्ष्मा रजस्सत्त्वतमोमयी॥ व्यापारदक्षा सततं सगुणा निर्गुणापि च॥२४॥
You are indeed the subtle primordial nature consisting of Rajas, Sattva and Tamas. You are capable of perpetual activity. You are both possessed and devoid of attributes.
english translation
सर्वेषामिह भूतानामहमात्मा सुमध्यमे॥ निर्विकारी निरीहश्च भक्तेच्छोपात्तविग्रहः ॥२५॥
O slender-waisted lady, of all living beings I am the soul without abberation without yearnings. I take up bodies at the requests and wishes of my devotees.
