ब्रह्मपुत्रो हि यो दक्षस्सुषुवे पितुराज्ञया ।। स्वपत्न्यामयुतं पुत्रानयुंक्त तपसि प्रियान् ।। ३२ ।।

sanskrit

Dakṣa, the son of Brahmā, at the bidding of his father, begot ten thousand sons of his wife. He dearly loved them and employed them in performing a great penance.

english translation

brahmaputro hi yo dakSassuSuve piturAjJayA || svapatnyAmayutaM putrAnayuMkta tapasi priyAn || 32 ||
