ब्रह्मपुत्रो हि यो दक्षस्सुषुवे पितुराज्ञया ॥ स्वपत्न्यामयुतं पुत्रानयुंक्त तपसि प्रियान् ॥ ३२ ॥

sanskrit

Dakṣa, the son of Brahmā, at the bidding of his father, begot ten thousand sons of his wife. He dearly loved them and employed them in performing a great penance.

english translation

brahmaputro hi yo dakSassuSuve piturAjJayA ॥ svapatnyAmayutaM putrAnayuMkta tapasi priyAn ॥ 32 ॥
