शिवा सा जनिता शैलात्त्वदर्थं हि हिमालयात् ॥ तस्यां त्वदुद्भवात्पुत्रात्तस्य मृत्युर्न चान्यथा ॥५१ ॥
For attaining you Śivā is born of mountain Himācala. The demon’s death can be at the hands of your son alone begotten of her.
english translation
zivA sA janitA zailAttvadarthaM hi himAlayAt ॥ tasyAM tvadudbhavAtputrAttasya mRtyurna cAnyathA ॥51 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइति दत्तो ब्रह्मणा हि तस्मै दैत्याय यद्वरः ॥ तदन्यस्मादमृत्युस्स बाधते निखिलं जगत् ॥५२॥
This is the boon granted to him by Brahmā. Incapable of being killed by others, the demon harasses the entire universe.
english translation
iti datto brahmaNA hi tasmai daityAya yadvaraH ॥ tadanyasmAdamRtyussa bAdhate nikhilaM jagat ॥52॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनारदस्य निर्देशात्सा करोति कठिनं तपः ॥ तत्तेजसाखिलं व्याप्तं त्रैलोक्यं सचराचरम् ॥ ५३ ॥
At the instance of Nārada, she is performing a great penance. All the three worlds consisting of the mobile and immobile beings have been enveloped by her refulgence.
english translation
nAradasya nirdezAtsA karoti kaThinaM tapaH ॥ tattejasAkhilaM vyAptaM trailokyaM sacarAcaram ॥ 53 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवरं दातुं शिवायै हि गच्छ त्वं परमेश्वर ॥ देवदुःखं जहि स्वामिन्नस्माकं सुखमावह ॥ ५४ ॥
O lord Śiva, please go and grant Śivā the boon. O lord, destroy our misery and bestow happiness on us.
english translation
varaM dAtuM zivAyai hi gaccha tvaM paramezvara ॥ devaduHkhaM jahi svAminnasmAkaM sukhamAvaha ॥ 54 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवानां मे महोत्साहो हृदये चास्ति शंकर ॥ विवाहं तव संद्रष्टुं तत्त्वं कुरु यथोचितम् ॥ ५५ ॥
O Śiva, there is a great enthusiasm in my heart as well as in those of the gods to witness your marriage. Please get it performed in a fitting manner.
english translation
devAnAM me mahotsAho hRdaye cAsti zaMkara ॥ vivAhaM tava saMdraSTuM tattvaM kuru yathocitam ॥ 55 ॥
